This infographic was created for a few reasons. It was personally relevant for my horse and I. Since I was already going to be reading up on the topic, I figured why not get some design practice in and visualize what I'm reading about in a short, simple, and easy to understand way.
The infographic is meant to be "universal". By this I mean it is square for Instagram, and only 4 slides long for Twitter's image limit. It was also designed with the mobile social media user in mind. In that regard, I made sure the font was legible at a small size on different screens, included a slide ticker, and a "call to action" arrow prompting users to swipe on the first slide.
The intended target audience is fellow equestrians. It is meant to be a quick, easy to read overview. I imagine people referring to this post or saving it for future reference when it becomes relevant. Maybe someone is suspecting ulcers in their horse, but wants to read about it real quick to decide if they should call the vet about it. This post is the one they could go to for that quick run down before decidng what to do next.
